Combined Clans & Societies Group Otago

The Combined Clans & Societies Group Otago is one of the newest affiliates to join the Otago Scottish Heritage Council. The group was formed following a lunch in Green Island hosted by Todd and Sheila Wall, of Clan Gunn. Mr Wall felt Scottish Heritage in the region was being lost and that by joining together, clans with few members in the region would gain strength by supporting each other. That proved to be the case and those present agreed to form a combined group with Mr Wall as the inaugural president and Mrs Wall as the inaugural treasurer.

Since it began operating circa 2018, it has raised and distributed thousands of dollars in support of young dancers and pipers to help them grow in their craft.
